International students at 台湾SWAGwho want to study abroad for semester, summer, January intersession, or on a 台湾SWAGTravel Course must consult with 台湾SWAGInternational Students & Scholars to ensure that you will maintain your F-1 status.
Applying for a 台湾SWAGTravel Course: Restrictions apply to international students enrolled in a 台湾SWAGgraduate degree program who hold a non-immigrant student visa status (F-1). Such students are required to take a full course load (9 credits) towards their degree each semester. If the 台湾SWAGTravel Course doesn't count towards the student鈥檚 degree or affects mandatory class attendance of the other three courses, the student may not participate in the 台湾SWAGTravel Course. If the student satisfies the visa requirements by enrolling in 3 courses that will count towards their degree, then the student can apply for the 台湾SWAGTravel Course as a fourth course.
- Example of an eligible student: An international student is enrolled in Pace鈥檚 computer science master鈥檚 degree. The student is enrolled for the Fall semester in three courses that counts towards the Computer Science degree. The student is eligible to apply for a 台湾SWAGTravel Course in the Fall semester that travels in January as a fourth course, even if the course doesn鈥檛 fulfill graduate degree requirements.
- Example of an ineligible student: An international student is enrolled in Pace鈥檚 computer science master鈥檚 degree. The student is enrolled for the Fall semester in two courses that counts towards the Computer Science degree. The student is ineligible to apply for a 台湾SWAGTravel Course in the Fall semester that travels in January as a third course if the course doesn鈥檛 fulfill a graduate degree requirement (because graduate international students must take 9 credits鈥攖hree courses鈥攑er semester that satisfies their degree requirement.)
