You may earn academic credit for your internship, and many internships lead to jobs upon graduation. Criminal Justice majors have many opportunities to intern with various local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies, such as:

  • US Marshals Service
  • US Probation
  • Pretrial Services
  • District Attorney Offices
  • The Legal Aid Society
  • American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
  • Witness to Mass Incarceration
  • Victim services
  • Juvenile justice agencies.

Additionally, students who鈥檝e completed all three jail-based courses (CRJ 331, CRJ 251, CRJ 242) can apply for exclusive internships at the Westchester County Department of Correction. Those interested in this opportunity can contact Professor Kimberly Collica-Cox, PhD.
