Biography

Dr. Berro’s clinical pediatric nursing background, which began in a pediatric intensive care unit, spans various areas, including the pediatric emergency department, general pediatrics, outpatient, and pediatric telehealth.

Her academic focus is on undergraduate nursing competency development and assessment as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Her expertise in curriculum development and technical proficiency in employing high-technology manikins and simulation equipment supports and assesses her student's clinical competence and confidence in her abilities. In her faculty role, Dr. Berro has worked collaboratively to support the implementation of various grants.

Dr. Berro earned a PhD in Nursing at ̨ÍåSWAGUniversity, where she conducted research on how fidelity in simulated clinical scenarios influences engagement and learning among undergraduate nursing students. This research, along with her interest in simulation as a teaching modality, underscores her commitment to advancing nursing education.
