Faculty Bio

With more than 32 years at Penguin Random House in various sales and editorial leadership positions, Kreit brings deep expertise and her many connections in children's books and the publishing industry to the MS in Publishing Program. As the President and Publisher of Puffin Books for 18 years, she published classics such as The Outsiders, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Madeline, Corduroy, Pippi Longstocking, and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and the Fudge series by Judy Blume. She serves the faculty advisor for The Publishing Lab: An Anthology of Student Creative Work, an annual anthology of creative writings by the students in the program. Kreit is also the Associate Director of ̨ÍåSWAGUniversity Press, where she oversees and mentors the Student Aide and Graduate Assistant.
